We are looking for a skilled Build Technician, with particular emphasis on electrical skillsets, to oversee the assembly of a prototype vehicle for one of our client's based in Coventry.
Key role and responsibilities for this role;
The Vehicle Technician will be assembling, evaluating, testing, and maintaining electrical or electronic wiring, equipment, appliances and apparatus.
Servicing and maintaining equipment including motors, conveyor systems, transmission systems, and production-related equipment will be required for the role of Vehicle Technician.
For the role of Vehicle Technician, Inspecting and assessing the parts for defects is essential.
Troubleshooting mechanical & electrical issues.
Installing mechanical parts using hand and machine tools is required for the role of Vehicle Technician.
Fabricating parts for repairs and machine upgrades, if required.
For the role of Vehicle Technician, you will be conducting routine maintenance and safety checks.
Communicating with the production team and maintaining a clean work area.
Preparing and submitting production reports will be required for the role of Vehicle Technician.
Minimum requirements for this role
Previous work experience as Build Technician is essential to be considered for the role of Vehicle Technician.
For the role of Vehicle Technician, you will need to be able to read and interpret engineering drawings.
In-depth knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems.
Familiarity with safety standards and regulations.
For the role of Vehicle Technician, you will need excellent troubleshooting skills.
Basic computer and report writing skills.
Good communication skills.
Ability to lift and manipulate heavy equipment will be required for the role of Vehicle Technician.
Good time-management skills.
