As the Team Leader you will be expected to be self-sufficient in the supervision of a small team of warehouse operatives in the work of receipt, booking in, movement, replenishment, accuracy and dispatching of stock to our customers; ensuring that the required deadlines and quality standards are always met. Working closely with the Operations Director as well as your co-team leader, your role is to guide and lead the warehouse team in achieving daily targets and goals, ensuring that discipline and structure is retained.
What we are looking for
? Experience of supervising others is ideal, but don’t let this discourage you, if you feel like this is something you can do then give us a call!
? Warehouse Experience is essential
? A high level of organisational skills
? Exceptional customer service orientation
? Skilled in Microsoft Office suite (preferred although can be trained/coached)
? HACCP trained (or willingness to be trained in)
? Communication Skills. Ability to:
o Read, analyse, and interpret information and reports
o Interpret a variety of information furnished in written and oral form.
What you will be challenged with
? Accurately booking stock onto Orderwise WMS, using HHT, within 12 hours of receipt
? Ensuring stock is strictly rotated
? Run the returns system within the SOP – within the Orderwise system
? Ensure the pick faces are kept stocked
? Ensure that all inbound paperwork is completed and handed in to the purchasing office
? Take an active role in the dispatching of goods, including picking, checking, packing
? Ensure that 100% of dispatched orders are quality checked and rectified where necessary
? Relay to the team, business expectations, targets, issues and achievements
? Follow up on instructions, policing to ensure jobs have been completed to the required standard
? Train warehouse staff to do their job effectively and efficiently
? Re-train and coach where required to increase performance
? One-to-ones: Appraise staff on the job, ensuring that they are knowledgeable of what they are doing right and where they need to improve/change
? Attend weekly update meetings with Line Manager, bring ideas and solutions. To set priorities, receive feedback, tasks, upcoming requirements
